Metal processor and distributor Ryerson went public on the NYSE under the symbol RYI and priced its offering at $11, quite a bit lower than the company's initial maximum price estimate of $20. Ryerson processes and distributes a full line of over 70,000 products in stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, alloy steels and a limited line of nickel and red metals, and operates over 90 facilities across North America, six in China and one in Brazil. For the three months ended March 31, 2014, its revenue was $874.4 million with net income at $1.4 million. Platinum Equity has owned the company since 2007, when it took Ryerson private for a little over $1 billion. At its market price of $11, Ryerson commanded a full market capitalization of about $352 million.
