Sefaira, a company that produces cloud-based energy efficiency software to help architects design high-performing buildings, has raised $9.2 million in new capital. The company received $7.2 million in equity financing from existing investors Braemar Energy Ventures, Chrysalix SET and Hermes GPE, while also securing a $2 million venture debt facility from Silicon Valley Bank. Sefaira, which previously raised $10.8 million of Series A funds in April 2012, will use the new capital to fund its continued business growth.
The company has also announced that Philip Crawford, former senior vice president of Oracle, will assume the role of chairman of the Board. He joined the company’s Board as a non-executive director in January.
