Sentinel Capital Partners has sold portfolio company Chromalox, a heater manufacturer, to Irving Place Capital. Company management increased its ownership in the transaction. Founded in 1918, Chromalox manufactures heating components, immersion heaters, circulation systems, heat transfer systems, boilers, industrial and comfort air heating, heat trace cables, sensors and precision electronic controls. Since acquiring the company in 2011, Sentinel oversaw the opening of a new manufacturing facility in China, new sales offices in India, Germany and parts of Asia, and performance improvement of the company's European operations. Irving Place will look to help build the business through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
