According to the PitchBook Platform, 44 connectivity products companies have received PE investment since the beginning of 2004. With respect to deal size, the sector median was $98.7 million while the largest deal was $765 million (i.e. Kohlberg Kravis Roberts' and Sequoia Capital's acquisition of Flextronics'Aricent unit in 2007). To date, connectivity products corporate divestitures account for well over $1 billion in invested capital. Not too shabby for an industry most people wouldn't give a second thought.
