A consortium led by Silver Lake Sumeru has provided Talend with a $34 million growth investment. Two of the company's existing investors, Balderton Capital and IDInvest Partners, invested alongside Silver Lake. Talend provides open source data management software and was legally advised by a Jones Day team led by Renaud Bonnet on the transaction. Silver Lake was advised by Kirkland & Ellis. Concurrently, Talend has also added on Sopera, a provider of open source service-oriented architecture and middleware solutions.
