SingTel Buys Pixable for $26.5M, Plans to Expand Services Abroad

After raising $6 million in venture funding from Highland Capital Partners, Menlo Ventures and several angels, Pixable has been sold to telecom giant SingTel for $26.5 million. Pixable, founded in 2009, has a social photo aggregation service that finds the best photos and videos shared on social networks (for an example, see the image on the right) so you never miss out. SingTel plans to spread the laughter by introducing Pixable's digital services to its 462 million mobile customers in Asia and Africa.
