Ever sent a picture message to someone and, for whatever reason, immediately regretted it? Naahhh, of course you haven’t. But hypothetically, let’s say you did. It would have been better to do it through Snapchat, a mobile app startup that sends and automatically deletes picture messages seconds after they have been viewed. The company reportedly plans to raise an $8 million round of funding led by Benchmark Capital. In April of this year, the company was seeded with $500,000 from Lightspeed Venture Partners.
