Social IT Platform Spiceworks Closes $57M Series E

Spiceworks, a professional network for IT, has closed a $57 million Series E round of funding led by Goldman Sachs, with participation from existing investors. The company connects IT professionals with one another, aiming to simplify how they discover, buy and manage technology products and services.
Spiceworks has now raised $111 million in funding to date and will use the new capital to expand its global network of IT professionals and technology brands. As part of the new deal, Goldman Sachs' David Campbell has joined the Spiceworks Board of Directors. In its previous round of funding—a $25 million Series D raise—the company was valued at over $233 million.
