Tailored Fit: Joseph Abboud Sale to Men's Wearhouse Complete

The Men's Wearhouse (NYSE: MW) has finalized its purchase of Joseph Abboud, a menswear provider. J.W. Childs Associates, which had owned the company since 2004, sold it off for about $97.5 million. Joseph Abboud makes tailored clothing for men and offers accessories, luggage, footwear, eyewear and home furnishings. Its founder has been serving as chief creative director of Men's Wearhouse since last December. J.W. Childs earned a reported 2x equity return in the sale.
