With the Brexit vote looming large over the U.K., VC investors seem to be biding their time. Deal count in the nation has experienced an inconsistent-yet-distinct decline since the beginning of 2014, with activity in 2Q easily on pace to set a new low for the time period—just 68 deals have been completed by venture investors in the U.K. so far, according to the PitchBook Platform. During that same timeframe, 607 VCs have made at least one investment in the nation; a mere 31.5% of those 607 have been active this year.
