The Angel Resource Institute 2015 Annual Halo Report

The Angel Resource Institute (ARI) at Willamette University has released its 2015 Annual ARI Halo Report, a national survey of angel group investment activity sponsored by PitchBook. Highlights of the report and its findings include:
Angel investment round sizes increased substantially in 2015, with a mean increase of 39% and a median increase of 67%.
Valuations continue to climb: Median pre-money valuation increased to $4.6M, up 53% from 2014 and the highest-ever valuation in the ARI Halo Report.
New England doubled its share of both deals and dollars nationally in 2015.
Angels primarily invest close to home: 74% of investments were made in the angel group’s home region.
Based on 5,133 deals totaling $21.8 billion in total rounds including co-investors, The ARI Halo Report includes aggregate analysis of investment activity by angels and angel groups and highlights trends in round sizes, location and industry preferences.
