But there are definitely other thriving VC ecosystems that remain a consistent home to companies raising new funding. And often, the busiest investors in those other ecosystems aren’t internationally focused firms, but local VCs with expertise in the area they call home.
That’s certainly the case in the Great Lakes region, where investors have completed 896 VC financings since the start of 2014, according to the PitchBook Platform.
