Top Investor Tuesday — Non-U.S. Investors in U.S. Companies
June 23, 2015
U.S. capital markets have always attracted international investors due to the breadth of existing capital in the system and the depth of investor networks American exchanges maintain. U.S. private markets tend to do the same. PE investors headquartered outside of the U.S. have steadily increased activity in America since 2010, recording 235 deals in 2014, a 20% YoY jump. While the locations of non-U.S. PE firms backing these companies span just about every continent, some of the most active investors aren't too far away, with three of the top five based in Canada.
