There’s a popular saying that most Americans have heard at least once—“Don’t mess with Texas.” Well, there’s someone who sure has been messin’ with Texas—VC investors. Though, admittedly, it’s been more hometown lovin’ than anything else. In the past eight years, 467 VC investors have invested in companies headquartered in Texas, according to the PitchBook Platform. The seven most active investors in the state during that time are headquartered there themselves.
