Tradeshift, the provider of a platform that helps businesses connect, collaborate and transact, has landed a $75 million Series C investment from Singapore's Scentan Ventures. The company previously received three separate financings, including a $17 million round at a valuation of $137 million in 2011. The new funding will fuel sales, marketing and applications development, helping drive Tradeshift's global expansion in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
The funding will also jumpstart efforts in Japan, where the new partnership with Scentan Ventures will bring local expertise and build the applications ecosystem for the Tradeshift platform in Asia, with the company planning to open offices in Tokyo. Tradeshift, which connects more than 500,000 companies around the world with their supply chains to facilitate business transactions, will add Scentan's Noriaki Okubo to its Board as part of the transaction.
