Mobile phone directory and caller ID app Truecaller has raised $60 million (€47 million) in a Series C round co-led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Atomico and Sequoia Capital. A handful of individuals also invested, including Jerry Murdock, co-founder of Insight Venture Partners. As part of the financing, John Doerr of KPCB will join the Board of Directors. The Truecaller app allows users to search for phone numbers of businesses, financial institutions and other people in the Truecaller community, also providing caller IDs of landline, mobile or pre-paid numbers; it currently has over 85 million users. In total, Truecaller has raised over $80 million (€63 million) in VC since its founding in 2009.
