Uber is at it again. The company, which raised $1.2 billion of Series E funding at a roughly $40 billion valuation in December, has expanded the capacity of the round to $2.8 billion. It initially left room for $600 million in additional capital but has now increased that by $1 billion. Let's not forget that Uber also received $1.6 billion in debt financing from Goldman Sachs in January. With all that capital, the company is continuing its aggressive global expansion, currently making substantial investments in the Asia-Pacific region.
