JW Player, an online and mobile video platform, has raised a $20 million Series C financing round led by Greycroft Growth and Greenspring Associates. JW Player served as the original player for YouTube and now serves nearly 5% of all video streamed over the Internet. The $20 million funding brings JW Player's financing total to almost $27 million. Its $5 million Series B round was raised at a valuation of over $23.5 million in late 2012. The company also offers a data-driven SaaS platform that provides publishers, advertisers, agencies and video ad networks with insight for their business objectives.
