Who leads the way in Europe when it comes to investing in female-founded companies?
Some of the continent's top investors dominate the list, including Germany's High-Tech Gründerfonds, Paris-based Kima Ventures and Sweden's Almi Invest. And unlike our US list, Silicon Valley heavyweights are few and far between.
A number of the investment heavyweights with bigger deal counts are not included on this list due to their designation as government agencies or sovereign wealth funds. These include Enterprise Ireland, which would have led to way with 118 deals, as well as Scottish Enterprise (49), Bpifrance (29) and Tekes (21). Accelerators such as 500 Startups are also not included.
