500friends, the provider of a customer retention platform, has raised $5 million in Series B financing. The round was led by existing investor Intel Capital and new investor Fung Capital, and included participation from existing investor Crosslink Capital. The San Francisco-based company offers LoyaltyPlus, a loyalty marketing platform that enables e-commerce retailers to track, reward and recognize behaviors that matter to their brand. As part of the transaction, Intel Capital’s Carey Lai and Fung Capital’s Michael Hsieh will join the 500friends board. The company has raised an estimated total of $12 million to date.
