Activist investors challenge Huntsman, Clariant tie-up

Corvex Management and 40 North have built up a 7.2% stake in chemicals maker Clariant and are seeking to block the company's merger with Huntsman. The activist investors are urging the company to consider alternatives to the agreed $20 billion tie-up, including selling itself. Under the current deal, agreed in May, Clariant investors will own about 52% of the business, while Huntsman shareholders will own the remainder.
