Admiralty Partners has acquired the composites structures and assemblies business of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (TSX: MDA). The newly independent company will operate under the name Alliance Spacesystems and be headquartered in Los Alamitos, CA. The business provides satellite bus and payload structures to U.S. aerospace and defense prime contractors like Boeing and Lockheed Martin. Its new investor, Admiralty, focuses its investments in the aerospace, defense and federal information technology sectors, typically in companies with revenues over $25 million.
