Aldea Ventures holds first close for €100M fund

Aldea Ventures has raised €60 million for its new fund targeting tech startups. The vehicle has a target of €100 million and will be used to back 700 companies across Europe. It will operate as a fund-of-funds, investing in up to 20 early-stage micro VC vehicles; it will also act as a co-investment platform, backing companies at the Series A stage and onward. So far, Aldea has backed companies including recruitment startup Jobandtalent and podcasting platform operator Podimo.
