A trio of angels has banded together to plant $155,000 in Windowfarms, a startup that makes vertical hydroponic gardens for growing food indoors. Kale, basil and strawberries are examples of plants that fare well inside with natural window light and organic "liquid soil." Charlie O'Donnell's seed-stage fund Brooklyn Bridge Ventures has committed to investing in the startup's upcoming Series A round. The company also raised over $257,000 on Kickstarter, shooting well above its $50,000 goal.
