Apache Cassandra-Based Big Data Platform Seals $25M Round

DataStax, a big data platform based on the open-source database Apache Cassandra, has closed on a $25 million Series C round led by Meritech Capital Partners, with existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners and Crosslink Capital also pitching in. DataStax's data management tools are used by companies like Twitter and Rackspace. Previously, DataStax raised an $11 million Series B financing in September 2011 and a $2.7 million Series A financing in October 2010.
