Apax Plans Exit of Plex via Sale to Francisco Partners

Apax Partners and other investors have announced a pending sale of software maker Plex Systems to Francisco Partners. Based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, Plex develops cloud-based ERP solutions that allow manufacturers to improve productivity and efficiency. Apax assumed a majority stake in Plex in 2006 and has seen revenues triple following the implementation of a subscriptions-based model.
