Apollo Global Management has completed its take-private buyout of Great Wolf Resorts (NASDAQ: WOLF), an operator of indoor waterpark resorts. Getting to this point wasn't all fun and games for Apollo, as the firm had to first survive a bidding war with KSL Capital Partners. Apollo ended up paying $7.85 per share for Great Wolf, up $2.85 from its original $5 per share offer in mid-March.
