Ardian lands $8.9B for latest buyout fund

French private equity firm Ardian has raised €7.5 billion (about $8.9 billion) for its seventh flagship buyout fund, beating a target of €6 billion. The vehicle will focus primarily on healthcare, the food value chain, technology, and services companies in Europe and North America. Ardian raised €4.5 billion for its sixth namesake buyout fund and related co-investments in 2016.
