Authentic Brands, JD Sports eye joint Topshop bid

Authentic Brands, the owner of the department store Barneys, is in talks with JD Sports Fashion over a joint bid for struggling UK high-street fashion chain Topshop, Sky News reported. Topshop is the flagship brand of British retail mogul Philip Green's Arcadia Group, which was put into bankruptcy protection in November. Other Arcadia-owned brands that are potential targets for investors or strategic buyers include Topman, Burton, Wallis and Dorothy Perkins.
