July 31, 2012
Avalon Ventures is reportedly planning to raise at least $200 million for its tenth venture fund, an amount that would mirror or potentially surpass Avalon Ventures IX, which closed above its $150 million target at $200 million in January 2011. The VC firm focuses on investing in seed and early stage companies in the life science and IT sectors. Avalon's investments include Backupify and Amira Pharmaceutical.
