Avista raises $1.2B for Fund V

Avista Capital Partners has closed its fifth flagship fund on a hard cap of $1.2 billion, exceeding its original target of $775 million. New York-based Avista, which targets middle-market companies in the healthcare industry, has previously invested in BioReliance, Medserve, Zest Dental Solutions and others.
