Bausch + Lomb, an eye care company owned by Warburg Pincus and Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, has named Robert Bertolini president and chief financial officer. In this capacity, he will oversee the company's Finance, Information Technology and Global Quality and Operations functions. Bausch + Lomb's core businesses include contact lenses and lens care products, ophthalmic surgical devices and instruments, and ophthalmic pharmaceuticals. Founded in 1853 and headquartered in Rochester, NY, the company employs approximately 11,000 people worldwide. The two private equity firms took the company private in 2007.
