Bovis agrees £1.1B deal for Galliford Try division

Bovis Homes has agreed to buy Galliford Try's housing arm for just shy of £1.08 billion, including £300 million in cash. The deal will also give the British company's shareholders a 29.3% stake in the enlarged Bovis Homes worth £675 million. Galliford's housing unit, which includes the Linden Homes housebuilding business, generated combined revenue of £1.4 billion and an operating profit of £195.3 million in its latest fiscal year.
