Carlyle buys 'RuneScape' creator

The Carlyle Group has acquired Jagex, a UK-based publisher of video games such as "RuneScape" for computers and mobile phones. Funds for the investment came from Carlyle's seventh flagship fund, which closed on $18.5 billion in 2018, and its fourth Europe tech vehicle, which brought in €1.35 billion (about $1.6 billion) in 2019.
