The Carlyle Group will make a minority investment in African agricultural commodities supply chain manager Export Trading Group. This will be the debut investment for the firm's Sub-Saharan Africa Fund. The Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Fund is investing alongside Carlyle in the $210 million transaction, and ETG's first PE investor, Standard Chartered Private Equity, is also increasing its investment in the company. With employees across 30 African countries, ETG operates 26 processing plants and 600 warehouses.
