Christian Angermayer to launch biotech SPAC

German entrepreneur Christian Angermayer plans to launch a new $200 million black-check company in the US alongside VC firm Falcon Edge Capital, Reuters reported. The special-purpose acquisition company, which Angermayer will sponsor via his family office Apeiron Investment Group, is expected to target biotech investments and list as early as March. The news comes two days after Reuters reported German VC Klaus Hommels launched his own European tech SPAC.
