Cinven is working alongside ex-Premier Foods CEO Gavin Darby on an offer to buy Valeo Foods for $1.5 billion, Sky News reported. The Irish snack group, which owns brands such as Kettle Chips and Rowse Honey, is currently owned by CapVest. CapVest created the company as a platform company in 2010. Darby, who worked for Mr Kipling-maker Premier for six years before leaving in 2019, would become Valeo's chairman if a deal is successful.
