Concurrent, a Big Data application platform company, has closed a $4 million Series A round of funding led by True Ventures and Rembrandt Venture Partners. The San Francisco-based company simplifies Big Data application development, deployment and management on Apache Hadoop. The investment will be used to fuel product development and grow the company's core team. Prior to this financing, Concurrent raised $900,000 of seed funding in 2011.
