Deutsche Bank adds Jeffrey Mensch to Americas M&A team

Deutsche Bank (FRA: DBK) has added Jeffrey Mensch to its Americas M&A team as a managing director based in New York. When he begins his new role early next month, he will report to the team's head, Charlie Dupree. The pickup adds Mensch’s expertise in tax structuring in anticipation of US tax reforms. In addition, Mensch brings experience servicing deals in healthcare, technology, media and natural resources.

Mensch was most recently at Ron Perelman's investment firm MacAndrews & Forbes, where he served as a SVP in the finance department for the past three years, overseeing tax structuring, analysis and the acquisition of tax assets. In addition, Mensch advised portfolio companies on M&A and capital raising matters; he assisted AstraZeneca during Pfizer’s unsolicited takeover bid in 2014 and Yahoo’s deal to sell back a 20% stake in Alibaba in 2012, per The New York Times.

Mensch represents the seventh hire of an MD for Deutsche Bank’s Americas corporate finance team this year and the second for M&A.
