DocuSign Lands Fresh $233M Investment, Valued at $3B

DocuSign has raised an additional $233 million in a funding round led by Brookside Capital and Bain Capital Ventures. The company, which garnered a $1.6 billion valuation after a $115 million financing in October, has now reached a valuation of nearly $3 billion. Founded in 2003, DocuSign provides a legally compliant electronic and digital signature platform that currently has more than 50 million users across 188 countries. Back in 2004, it captured an $11.5 million valuation after it raised its first institutional financing round of $4.4 million; backers include Accel Partners, Google Ventures, KPCB, ICONIQ Capital and many more.
