Echo adds $7.5M to prior financing

The round for microscope creator Echo now totals $12.9 million, which includes nearly $5.5 million in converted notes, per an SEC filing. Founded in 2013, the biotech will use the funds to continue manufacturing Revolve, its hybrid microscope product that uses tablet- and cloud-based technologies to capture and manage image data.
