EQT Partners has agreed to purchase Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing (BvD), a publisher of private company information and corporate ownership structures, from Charterhouse Capital Partners. The deal is rumored to come in at €1 billion ($1.34 billion) total, with a reported €845 million ($1.13 billion) in leveraged loans supplied by Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC and ING. Founded in 1991, BvD is known for products such as Orbis, which integrates data from over 100 sources and covers over 130 million companies. BvD employs over 650 in 33 offices across Europe, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region. Charterhouse bought it in 2011 for a reported €960 million ($1.28 billion) from BC Partners.
