EQT has agreed to buy real estate investment firm Exeter Property Group for $1.87 billion. The Swedish asset manager said the purchase is part of a broader plan to expand its real estate business in Europe and North America. Exeter, which is majority-owned by its CEO Ward Fitzgerald and other members of the executive team, was set up in 2006 and has 37 offices globally. The real estate investor has more than $10 billion of assets under management and expects to generate $135 million in revenue for 2020.
