Food robotics startup Karakuri pulls in £6.5M

Karakuri has secured £6.5 million to develop its food robotics system. The round was led by Firstminute Capital, with participation from investors including Hoxton Ventures, Ocado and Future Fund. At the same time, the London-based startup has unveiled its first automated canteen for personalized meals, expected to be tested in stores next year. The new round brings Karakuri's total venture funding to £13.5 million.
