Fulcrum Capital Partners has made a $20 million equity investment in Great Western Containers, a Canadian container manufacturer. Founded in 1979 and based in Calgary, GWC provides a variety of industrial and commercial container management solutions, including the manufacturing, distribution and reconditioning of steel, plastic and fiber containers. Its customers serve a variety of end markets, including agriculture, food, chemicals, mining and energy. The transaction was completed with equity from Fulcrum's Private Equity Fund IV and is the sixth investment for the fund. Based in Vancouver and Toronto, Fulcrum makes private equity and mezzanine investments in the Canadian middle market.
