Funding Crops Up for Nebraska-Based Virtual Incision

Investors from Nebraska and South Dakota have teamed up to back Virtual Incision, a medical device company based in Lincoln, NE. Founded by two professors from the University of Nebraska, Virtual Incision is working to develop an in vivo robotic surgical device that can be inserted through a single incision in the navel. The cash flow came from new backer Invest Nebraska, also based in Lincoln, and return investors PrairieGold Venture Partners and Bluestem Capital, both based in Sioux Falls, SD.
