The board of UK security services giant G4S has asked shareholders to accept US peer Allied Universal's £3.8 billion final takeover offer. A five-month bidding war came to an end this week when Canada's GardaWorld, which is backed by BC Partners, told the UK's Takeover Panel that it would not increase its rival offer of 235 pence per share to match Allied's 245 pence-per-share proposal first made in December. Allied is backed by Warburg Pincus and W Capital.
