Born out of the unemployment epidemic of recent years, San Francisco-based startup Gild has raised $8 million in Series A financing. The company is a provider of HR and recruiting solutions that help companies find tech developers. Leading the round was Baseline Ventures, followed by SAP Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners and individual investor Mark Kvamme. Prior to its Series A, Gild raised a total of $4.4 million in seed-stage financing across two separate rounds. This brings the company’s to-date funding to $12.4 million.
