Growth Financing Activity Holds Steady

Clearlake Capital Group has made a significant growth investment in the information security company Solutionary. The investment will be used by the eleven-year-old company to expand its sales, marketing, product development and global operations. The company has previously raised a few rounds of venture capital and in 2007 received a $7.25 million debt and equity investment from Hercules Technology Growth Capital.
Private equity growth deals (minority investments by PE firms in private companies) has held relatively steady over the last four years at about 30% of private equity deal flow. In total there have been 1,515 growth deals, totaling $85.6 billion of capital investment by PE firms in U.S. companies since the beginning of 2007, according to the PitchBook Platform.
