IAG eyes Norwegian stake sale if takeover bid fails

Airline giant IAG will not remain a stakeholder in Norwegian Air Shuttle should it can its pursuit of the budget airline. CEO Willie Walsh said on an analyst call discussing the company's 1H results that his business had bought the stake to initiate talks, but would not remain a long-term investor if a stand-off remained. Norwegian said in May that it had rebuffed two separate approaches from IAG.
